Welcome from the Convenor

MetPlant 2019

World’s best practice in Metallurgical Plant Design and Operation

MetPlant 2019 will continue to build on the tradition of promoting and imparting knowledge pertaining to world’s best practice in Metallurgical Plant Design and Operation.

In 2019 the conference will be held in a modern, new venue – the Crown at Burswood.

Since 2002, this conference has brought together a broad range of disciplines from across the minerals industry involved in the ‘whole of life’ planning and operation, (from design and maintenance engineers, operations managers, planning engineers, metallurgists and process engineers, environmental specialists, equipment suppliers, service providers and consultants) to discuss and review developments in metallurgical plant design and the optimisation of operations.

With a diverse conference program across a range of processes and commodities, case studies and discussion of world’s best practice in plant design, plant operations, care and maintenance, and closure strategies are welcome.

MetPlant 2019 promises to uphold the success of a well-established MetPlant conference series and will continue to present themes that will appeal to all multidisciplinary sectors across the mining industry including:

Mineral processing
Water and tailings management

Emissions management
Maintenance and optimisation
Plant control and energy efficiency
Management strategies
Solid-liquid separation

Authors are invited to consider design issues and potential solutions, or operational strategies, as potential subjects for papers.

Collaborative papers between clients, engineers and designers are strongly encouraged.

The MetPlant 2019 conference and exhibition offers relevant content and strategic information, along with excellent opportunities for discussion and networking between authors, exhibitors and delegates.

MetPlant 2017 was one of the most successful events in the series and I thank those delegates, sponsors, exhibitors, authors, partners, speakers, panel facilitators and participants for your attendance and participation at the event. The conference attracted over 300 industry professionals, many of whom were decision makers from operations.

Sponsorship packages for this prestigious biennial conference are widely sought. Listed packages are outlined below or request a bespoke package specifically tailored to your needs.

Immediately following MetPlant 2019 is AusIMM’s World Gold 2019 Conference – back in Australia for the first time in 6 years.

There are opportunities for sponsors and exhibitors to receive significant discounts for participating in the whole week of activities.

To express your interest in this conference please contact myself or the Event Management team.

We look forward to your participation in MetPlant 2019 and to celebrating the ninth event in this conference series.
